SUMMER Opportunities


At Scott River Lodge, we have a variety of positions available for the 2019 season. Some positions are paid opportunities and other positions will be volunteer-based and can be considered internships for academic credit. The following positions are available:

Hospitality & Guest Services Team —

  • A team of young ladies (age 18-25) who are responsible for the daily meal service and housekeeping at the lodge. Duties include: meal prep, serving meals, and meal clean up, daily housekeeping of guest rooms and common areas, and laundry. This team will also be directly responsible for maintaining the standards in the women’s group housing. Positions may include a stipend, housing, staff meal plan, travel costs, and completion bonus.

Maintenance Crew —

  • Maintenance 1 Position: Full-time position. Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated ability to accomplish a variety of of maintenance related tasks including: vehicle maintenance, equipment maintenance and repair, general carpentry & construction, minor electric repair, landscape & road maintenance. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, chain saws, mowers, & tractors.

  • Seasonal Maintenance: This a paid position from March - October. Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated ability to accomplish a variety of of maintenance related tasks including: vehicle maintenance, equipment maintenance and repair, general carpentry & construction, minor electric repair, landscape & road maintenance. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, chain saws, mowers & tractors.

Landscape Crew —

  • Landscape Assistant: Reporting to the Landscape foreman, the Landscape Assistant will assist with mowing, edging, string trimming, blowing, mulch, and other projects as assigned. This is a paid position March - October.

  • Landscape Intern: Reporting to the Landscape foreman, the Landscape Intern will assist with mowing, edging, string trimming, blowing, mulch, and other projects as assigned. This is a volunteer position May - September.

Kitchen Staff —

  • Developmental Chef: The Chef internship operates as the assistant to the Executive Sous Chef sharing many of the same responsibilities as the Sous Chef. You will be expected to work spring- fall exact dates TBD,  approximately 45-50 hours per week, 6-day workweek in peak summer season.  Great opportunity for recent Culinary Graduate or current Culinary student looking to complete Culinary school requirements.  Commercial kitchen experience preferred but we will train the right person.

  • AM Breakfast Cook: Previous experience in a commercial kitchen necessary.  You will be expected to work 40-45 hours per week, 5-6 day work week depending on program requirements, work season runs Mid May-September.  The position will cook breakfast buffet 4 days per week group size 50-70, room service breakfast 4 days per week group size 20-24, prep work, to go breakfasts, kitchen prep, clean up, etc. Reports to Executive Chef & Executive Sous Chef.

  • Grab & Go / Dish Pit Champion: Food Prep & Dishwasher.  This position reports to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef Duties include food prep for meals, inventory and stocking as part of food and beverage program. Primary Dishwasher. Daily cleaning, mopping & laundry within the kitchen and related areas. Seasonal Paid position.  You will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week, 6 day work week depending on program requirements, work season runs Mid-May-September.  This position is ideal for Hospitality or Culinary students interested in the service industry.

  • Kitchen Intern: You will be expected to work 32-37 hours per week, 6 day work week depending on program requirements, work season runs Mid-May-September.  No kitchen experience required, we will train and work around school requirements for right applicant.  This position is ideal for Hospitality or Culinary students and reports to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef.

Worship Leader —

  • The worship leader will provide music for corporate worship with guest & staff and may be asked to play on other occasions as talent allows (Date Night, etc.).  The right candidate would already be in consideration for one of the other positions and worship leader would be added to their responsibilities. Based on qualifications, a small stipend may be available.
