Where we go and what we do in the Marble Mountains.
The Marble Mountain
Area is located in the Klamath National Forest and
is one of the least used Wilderness Areas in the United States.
The Marble Mountains were established as a
primitive area in 1931 and a
Wilderness Designation in 1953. The
Mountains range from 7,000 to 9,000 Ft. and contain over 60 lakes,
great for fishing and swimming.
Wildlife abounds through the area
including: Bears, Mountain Lions, Deer,Elk, Otter,
Eagles, Osprey, Hawk, Owl, Wild Turkey, Quail,Fox, and Fischers.
Scott River Lodge utilizes it's unique
location on the Scott River Surrounded by this Forest
for our guests to enjoy these beautiful pristine Mountain Lakes,
panoramic Ridgecrest vistas, and
flower-hued meadows with Horse Riding and Hiking in the spring,
summer and fall and with Back Mountain Snow Shoeing and Skiing in the
Winter.
